The Survival Rifle Deployment Pouch!

 The "Survival Rifle Deployment Pouch," (shout out to "Gary B" who came up with the name as part of a customer contest, good job sir!) or just the SRDP for short, is designed to carry a variety of take down platforms and can be worn or carried in a number of configurations.  I first designed the pouch with the Ruger 10/22 in mind as I have had a number of 10/22 owners over the years ask me to make them a pouch for their platform.  However, the deeper down the rabbit hole we went on the prototyping, the more I discovered concerning just how many awesome take-down platforms there are out there on the market.  Now, I wish I could have purchased most platforms out there to confirm for myself, but here is a list of platforms that work based on some awesome field testers who were able to provide / confirm some info about which I was unsure:  Ruger 10/22; M&P 15-22; Henry AR-7; Springfield M6 Scout; Chiappa Little Badger; Midland Backpacker 12 gauge, 16" barrel (snug at the top); Rossi Tuffy 410 with a 16" barrel (stock, two barrels - 410 and .22 plus forend); etc...  As long as you can break it down, whatever the item (and I am looking at archery takedowns next) and the overall length doesn't go much past 22" then you should be good to go.  In essence, we made the SRDP thinking about the Ruger 10/22 and that is almost exactly how the dimensions of the SRDP played out, approximately 10" W x 22" L and about 2-3" D. 

From top to bottom, the SRDP has a "drag handle" at the top so you can easily grab it out of the back of your vehicle and/or hang it on a hook at home or your campsite.  There is also an ample piece of Velcro brand loop across the opening for patches, glint or reflective tape, etc...  Across the top rear of the SRDP we added MOLLE webbing so you can attach it to your rucksack or any other MOLLE compatible product (can you say Skeleton Chassis?).  The actual opening of the SRDP was constructed in such a way that even if the buckles were not snapped, the lid still provides enough retention that your item will not fall out - the lid has to be turned "inside out" and flipped backwards to access the main compartment.  Pretty slick if you ask me, but no one ever will... lol.  Each corner of the SRDP has a webbing attachment point for use with ITW Nexus plastics so you can attach the shoulder strap in a number of different carrying configurations.  Depending on how you carry the SRDP, you could use those attachment points as a location for a caribener or s-biner with gloves, eyeglass case, small case for chalk bottles (windage) or some such item.  Additionally, there is an ample amount of webbing on the lower front of the SRDP for use with attaching additional pouches such as magazine pouches, med-kit, fire/signal kit, etc... you get the point.  I hope this write up helps answer questions and gives you a good idea on how the SRDP works.  However, if you have any additional questions please watch the videos below or just give me a call to discuss.
